Choosing the right e-commerce software

I was thinking of writing a blog on different types of e-commerce softwares available in the market and how to choose the right one for your business. The intent was to make it exhaustive enough to cover all open source and paid tools and list out all the strengths and weaknesses of different softwares so that someone reading can have a more clear idea.

List of companies working in MS Commerce in India

Recently I have started working in MS Commerce – had thought since it is from Microsoft it would be very popular and would have a lot of active forums and discussions. But it seems either I was wrong in assuming that or I am not searching it properly in Google. Hardly I could find any independent forum (other than the MSDN ones).

Then I thought of preparing a list of companies working in MS Commerce in India, atleast that way I would know where the activity is – here too except Mindfiresolutions I could not find any other medium sized company working in MS Commerce. So I thought of posting this blog and inviting people to add the names of their companies. That way all of us would have a ready reference.

MS Commerce at Mindfire

What is MS Commerce ?

MS Commerce Server is a Microsoft product for building e-commerce systems. It uses Microsoft .NET technology. The product requires the presence of MS SQL Server 2005 or above.

The server comes bundled with Data Warehouse Analytics, which offer sophisticated reporting functionality, dependent on the availability of Microsoft SQL Server Analytics module, in addition to the Commerce Server Staging (CSS) system.
